How it works
From confusing reports to a clear plan
Credit improvement follows a path you can see. Here is every stage, what happens in it, and what you can expect from us and from the specialists we work with.
The four stages
Your credit journey, step by step
-
Week 1
Step 1: Discovery
Get your free reports from Equifax, Experian and TransUnion at AnnualCreditReport.com. Note every late payment, collection and account you do not recognize. Checking your own reports never lowers your score.
-
Weeks 1 to 3
Step 2: Evidence gathering
Sort items into three piles: errors, outdated entries and accurate history. Collect statements, payment confirmations and letters that support any dispute.
-
When you are ready
Step 3: Professional review
If you want help, request a free review. A vetted specialist goes through your reports with you, flags what can realistically change and explains any costs before you agree to anything.
-
Months, not overnight
Step 4: Lender ready
Disputes are investigated, utilization comes down and on-time payments add up. When your score reaches the milestone you need, you apply with confidence.
Credit bureaus generally have 30 days to investigate a dispute. Accurate negative items can stay on a report for up to seven years, and some bankruptcies for ten.
Your free review
What happens on your free review call
The review is a conversation, not a sales pitch. A specialist looks at your situation with you and gives you an honest read on what is realistic.
- A walk-through of your reports from all three bureaus
- Errors, outdated items and quick wins flagged
- An honest view of what may change and roughly how long it takes
- Any costs explained clearly, with no obligation to sign up

Why we are different
Education first, not a sales funnel
Much of the credit repair industry leads with hype. Here is how our approach compares with the typical pitch.
| Topic | Credit Catalyst Labs | Typical credit repair pitch |
|---|---|---|
| Cost to get started | Free guides, free tools and a free review | Setup or “first work” fees before anything happens |
| Promises | Honest timelines and no guaranteed scores | “Raise your score fast” claims |
| Education | Plain-language guides you keep using | Little explanation of what is being done or why |
| Choice | Do it yourself, or get matched with a vetted pro | One service and one price list |
| Pressure | Decide when you are ready, or not at all | Persistent sales calls and countdown offers |
Our promises
What we will never do
Promise a score
No one can guarantee a specific score or timeline, so we do not.
Charge you
Our guides, tools and matching are free. Partner specialists explain their own pricing.
Tell you to dispute the truth
Disputes are for errors. We will never suggest misrepresenting accurate information.
Judge your past
Everyone has a story. We focus on where you are going, not how you got here.
Process questions
What people ask before they start
Do I need to know my credit score first?
No. It helps, and you can check it for free without hurting it, but a specialist can work from your reports. Our readiness checker also works with “I don’t know yet”.
Will requesting a review affect my credit?
Requesting a review does not involve a hard credit inquiry. If a specialist ever needs to pull your credit, they should tell you first and explain what kind of inquiry it is.
What if I decide to do it myself after the review?
That is completely fine. The review is free with no obligation, and our guides are here whichever path you choose.
How are the specialists vetted?
We only build relationships with reputable, licensed credit repair specialists, and we expect them to follow federal and state consumer protection law, including the Credit Repair Organizations Act.
Ready to see what is holding your credit back?
Start with a free, no-pressure review from a vetted credit specialist. Requesting one takes about two minutes.
Free for you. No obligation. No pressure.
